Optimal operation of a multi-distribution natural gas pipeline grid: an ant colony approach

Abstract The enormous cost of transporting oil and gas through pipelines the operational benefits that industry receives optimization has incited analysts for decades to find strategies help pipeline managers operate grids with least expense. paper aims minimize grids' operating costs using an ant colony strategy. article constructs a multi-objective modeling framework natural grid based on data from French network corporation 'Gaz De France,' compressor hydraulics. comprises seven supply nodes nineteen distribution centers. Seven stations provided at various locations route raise pressure. Two competing objectives reducing fuel usage in compressors increasing throughput centers are acknowledged reduce pipeline's cost. 'multi-objective (MOACO)' approach is implemented transportation model grid's process variables include amount flowing pipe pressure nodes. This method provides optimum solution each consumption level compressor, it does so by producing Pareto front points. blueprints methodology used findings collected intend guide select best most preferred solutions.
